One time, because Jesus was in a crowd, many people were around Him and pressing in on Him, but only one person stood out. She wasn’t pressing in like everyone else, she made a “real” demand of His abilities. She reached out and touched Him for healing. At once, Jesus asked to know who did it. His disciples said to him, “Look at this crowd pressing around you. How can you ask, ‘Who touched me?’” Mark 5:31
But Jesus knew that someone had just made a real demand on His powers. He was asking, not to reprimand the person, but to affirm what faith can do.
Friends, for the rest of 2020, we will not be like the many in the crowd who are just hanging around God. I pray that we will actually touch Him and get what we need this month of August and the rest of the year. May healing power go forth from God to heal our emotions, marriages, finances, health, friendships, and most importantly, any addiction to a sinful lifestyle that we may have.
You and I shall live to see the end of 2020.
